Paris-based still-life photographer Philippe Lacombe combines almost magically the influence of contemporary art with a purely pragmatic and collaborative approach to his work. His style is at the same time controlled yet unrestricted, rigorous yet relaxed.
Each of his photos is an art installation in itself, a mise en scène of objects, carefully thought out and meticulously realized. They’re born from his belief in the value of every member of the team, that the process of collaboration transforms the work into something rich and strange. His photographs create an encounter —between a vision and an object, a client and a creator, an individual and a team. The result is refined yet mysterious enough to induce a moment of wonder.
