Ayaka Nihei is a New York based makeup artist with a painterly background. Born and raised in Japan, Ayaka developed an interest in the arts from a young age. While she developed her artistic skills, Ayaka came to realize that her favorite medium to work with was cosmetics. In 2012, Ayaka moved from Tokyo to New York where she spent a few years assisting makeup artists such as Susie Sobol prior to going off on her own.
Ayaka has since worked with several international magazines and brands and developed a community of collaborative photographers. She loves her craft whether it's producing fresh faced glamour or creating bold, colorful looks.
